The Host Country Agreement Signed for the Midterm Review of the Istanbul Programme of Action
On 4 May 2016, Under-Secretary-General Gyan Chandra Acharya and H.E. Mr. Y. Halit Çevik, Permanent Representative of Turkey to the United Nations have officially signed the Host Country Agreement for the upcoming Midterm Review of the Istanbul Programme of Action to be held in Antalya, Turkey (27-29 May, 2016). With preparations for the Midterm Review well under way, the signing of the Host Country Agreement marks an important step towards finalizing arrangements for the conference, which is expected to bring together governments, civil society, private sector and multilateral institutions for a comprehensive review of the Istanbul Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries.
